The Beloyarsky Museum of Local History was opened in September 1998. Its first exhibition told about the history of the Beloyarsky district and its nature, about the life and traditional crafts of the indigenous population.
In September 2010, the Beloyarsky Exhibition Hall was moved to a new building — the ‘Nouvi-At’ ecocenter.
The basis of the construction of the new building was the principle of the northern house — the chum. While climbing the stairs, the guests gradually get acquainted with the ideas of the Ob Ugrians about the world and a human. The culture of the northern peoples is demonstrated in the exhibits of the ethnographic collection: national clothes, household items, religious objects, jewelry, and kitchen utensils. The exhibition includes sound and light effects.
In March 2015, the museum was named the ‘Ethnocultural Center of the Beloyarsky district’.
